The Wellness Lounge Leeds, a luxury, multi-generational, family-run business, is set to open its doors in late 2025. Housed in the soon-to-be beautifully restored former Halifax bank on Garforth Main Street, this innovative wellness hub will offer premium facilities to independent therapists, health and wellbeing practitioners, alongside a dedicated space designed to help students and newly qualified professionals launch their careers.
The Wellness Lounge Leeds is more than just a business; it’s a legacy. Led by three generations of the same family, this project blends heritage, heart, and a forward-thinking approach to wellness and entrepreneurship. Leading the transformation, and the creative mind behind the project, is Lucy Pimblott who is passionate about creating modern, inspiring spaces for personal growth and professional excellence. She and her husband Craig, a well-respected financial adviser and lifelong Garforth resident, bring with them a wealth of business acumen and a deep connection to the local community. Their daughter Sophie, an established beauty entrepreneur and former student of Garforth Academy, represents the next generation. They will be joined in the creative wellness journey by Lucy’s mum Liz, who will be actively involved in running the business.
“This is more than just our family business, it’s about creating something we can be proud of that gives something back to the community that shaped us,” said Craig.
Lucy added “We know that Garforth Main Street may have lost its Halifax branch, but it is gaining a vibrant space where local small businesses can thrive and where independent businesses, entrepreneurs, community and well-being are championed.”
The Wellness Lounge Leeds will feature:
High-end treatment rooms available to independent wellness, beauty, and health practitioners and therapists.
A dedicated business incubation space to support recently newly qualified and young professionals transitioning from training into business ownership.
A versatile community room, available for local groups to host sessions such as Yoga, Pilates, Menopause Wellness, and digital detox workshops—where no mobile phones will be permitted to encourage full presence and relaxation. It will also serve as a welcoming space for book clubs, reading groups, and more. This room will be offered at an affordable rate to ensure accessibility for as many local residents and community organisations as possible.
